Editorial Policy

Our editorial principles

ClipCulture aims to publish accurate, fair, useful, and clearly presented journalism and media analysis for Bengali-speaking readers. Editorial decisions should serve readers and the public interest.

Accuracy and verification

We seek to verify factual claims using credible primary sources where possible, and to corroborate important claims with independent sources. We do not knowingly publish fabricated information. When a claim cannot be independently verified, we should make that limitation clear.

Facts, analysis, and opinion

We aim to distinguish reported facts from analysis, commentary, satire, and opinion. Headlines and thumbnails should accurately represent the content and must not mislead readers about what an article establishes.

Sources and attribution

We identify and link to sources where appropriate. Anonymous sources should be used cautiously and only when there is a clear editorial reason; their claims require additional scrutiny.

Corrections and updates

If we discover a material error, we aim to correct it promptly and clarify the correction where appropriate. Readers can report possible errors through our Contact page.

Independence and conflicts of interest

Commercial partnerships, sponsored content, and other material relationships should be disclosed clearly. Commercial considerations should not determine independent editorial conclusions. Contributors should disclose relevant conflicts of interest.

Privacy, dignity, and harm

We consider privacy, consent, context, and potential harm when publishing personal information, images, or allegations. Serious allegations require careful verification and a fair opportunity to respond where appropriate.

Accountability

This policy describes our editorial commitments and may be updated as ClipCulture’s work develops. For questions or concerns, contact the team through our Contact page.
